Designed with straight sides for easy adaptation to any L1/SWB medium van, this kit focuses on one thing above all: generous, cleverly organised storage that keeps you out longer without feeling cramped or cluttered. With a bigger side cabinet, a large sliding bed, and a compact but capable front kitchen unit, The Nomad gives you the space to pack more, stay organised, and settle into a rhythm on the road.
At the centre of the build is our B120 Sliding Bed, a lightweight, strong, beautifully simple pull-out bed that transforms from a daytime bench into a comfortable 120 × 181.5 cm sleeping space (extendable in many vans to 188.5 cm). Its comb-style structure supports up to 200 kg and offers excellent airflow, while the entire area underneath becomes a spacious cargo bay for long-trip essentials. In the Deluxe upgrade, the side and rear drawers add smooth, easy access to that storage – no more unpacking the entire van just to reach what’s at the back.
What truly sets The Nomad apart is the A4 Large Table Side Unit. This roomy cabinet is built for real-life travel: over 450 litres of storage, and the star of the show – a generous 76 × 43 cm pop-up table. Big enough for chopping vegetables, remote work, crafts, or even a family mealtime, it instantly expands your living space. And thanks to its well-planned layout, you still get smart access to almost everything inside, even when the bed is deployed. Two large water containers (up to 38L total) fit neatly inside, making long stays off-grid far more comfortable.
Up front, the compact C5 Kitchen Unit handles all your cooking needs without taking over the van. You get:
• A ventilated compartment for a portable stove
• A ventilated space for a fridge or cool box
• A cutlery drawer to keep things tidy
• A fold-out workspace for meal prep or coffee making
Add the optional cooler slider (not included in the Deluxe pack) and your top-opening cool box becomes effortless to use.
Like all Simple Vans furniture, everything is built from modular, lightweight PEFC-certified poplar plywood, supplied in bare wood so you can finish it with oil, varnish, or paint to match your style. Assembly is quick and DIY-friendly, designed for real van owners with real tools and real weekends.
