Roamer Kit — WALKTHROUGH

Two Versions

Standard or Deluxe?

Standard Roamer Standard Roamer Deluxe
Standard
Deluxe

Everything you need – or everything you'll end up wanting anyway.

The Standard version is the complete base build: bed, large rear kitchen unit, and the large A4v2 side cabinet. Space for a fridge, a toilet, up to 38 L of water storage – perfect for cooking outside between the rear doors.

The Deluxe version is that same kit PLUS the upgrades that make long off-grid trips actually comfortable: an integrated 38 L water system with stainless sink and shower head, an internal bed drawer for clothes and gear, and an overhead shelf above the side unit. No second-guessing. No slow upgrades. Just a van that's ready to disappear for a month from day one.

💡 Not ready to go all-in on the Deluxe? No problem – start with Standard and upgrade at your own pace.

Why Roamer

Why More People
Choose the Roamer

01

The kitchen
Rear kitchen.
Doors open.
Al fresco cooking.

The tall C3 rear unit sits at the back of your van – full-height, with a ventilated section for a 50 L fridge (fits Carbest LR50) and a dedicated lower compartment for a portable toilet. Open the rear doors and you've got a proper outdoor cooking setup, with 140 L of gear storage within arm's reach. No other kit in the Classic range gives you this.

The Drifter and Nomad both have a front kitchen unit – great inside, but without the al fresco cooking option the Roamer unlocks.

Cuisiner en plein air
02

The storage
A side unit as big as the Nomad's.
Plus a full rear unit too.

The Roamer pairs the same large A4v2 side cabinet as the Nomad – 222 litres, biggest pop-up table in the L1 range (76 × 43 cm) – with a full-height rear kitchen unit. That's two serious storage zones in a medium van, without sacrificing a usable bed.

The Nomad has the large A4v2 but uses a front kitchen unit. The Roamer moves the kitchen to the rear and adds the toilet and fridge space that makes longer trips practical.

03

The autonomy
Off-grid ready.
Without the custom build.

Toilet space, fridge space, capacity for a 38 L water kit, and a layout designed for cooking outside – the Roamer is built for people who want to stay out for days without needing a campsite. All from a flatpack kit that goes together in a day.

The Drifter is better for couples who prioritise a wider 130 cm bed. The Roamer's 120 cm bed trades a few centimetres for a lot more storage.

Key Details

Six more reasons the Roamer
works so well.

A quick breakdown of the practical details builders care about most.

The Roamer is a DIY camper van kit you can assemble with basic tools – no specialist skills, no complex carpentry. Most builds are done in a day. Everything is precision-cut, so you're not measuring, adapting, or fixing mistakes as you go.

The C3 rear unit puts a ventilated 50 L fridge and 140 L of storage right at the back of the van. Open the rear doors, set up your stove on the ground outside, and the van becomes your shelter. It's the detail that makes van life feel different from just sleeping in a car park.

At around 69 kg in total (82.5 kg for the Deluxe version), the Roamer packs a rear kitchen, a large side unit and full bed into a weight that's still far lighter than most factory camper interiors.

The C3 rear unit includes a dedicated compartment for a dry or cassette toilet – so you can carry one without it taking over the van. Practical for winter trips, festivals, or simply not wanting to worry about where the next service stop is.

The standard sliding bed gives you three setups in one: a bench seat, an L-shaped sofa, and a 120 × 180 cm double bed (extendable to 187 cm in some van models). A flexible system designed for everyday use – not just sleeping.

The kit comes in raw poplar plywood, ready to oil, paint, or leave natural. Unlike fixed camper van conversions, you're not locked into one finish – you can make the space your own.
