Our History
Simple Vans was born from a passion for crafting better solutions for camper conversions.
It all started with Ben, our founder, whose journey began in van rentals. His business model involved buying basic panel vans, converting them into campervans, and renting them to tourists. However, managing a fleet of vehicles and working with basic plywood kits became frustrating.
Ben sought something better. Structural reinforcements and nifty extra features like utility doors and enhanced hardware were temporary fixes, but the kits still didn’t meet his vision. Determined to design something modular, durable, and practical for any van or small van, Ben decided to start from scratch.
With his life savings, Ben built a custom workshop equipped with a CNC machine. From there, he began creating furniture kits that were not only quick and tool-free to assemble but also better suited to the needs of van enthusiasts.
