Before Simple Vans, we were converting medium-sized vans because they hit that sweet spot – small enough to drive anywhere, big enough to live and travel in comfortably.
Figuring out how to make the absolute most of a compact space is the kind of challenge we never get tired of. Every time we solve a puzzle like that – finding a better way to fit a table, a bed, and a fridge without losing that wide open feel – it reminds us why we love what we do.
At the center of all our Classic kits is our sliding bed. We reckon a comb-style pull out bed is hands-down the best choice for a standard van: you can switch from bed mode to sofa mode in about 30 seconds, and you don’t need to get out of the van to do it (handy when it’s raining). It’s got a ton of storage under it, and you can add optional sliding drawers to make it even more functional. We've spent over eight years tweaking, testing, and road-tripping to make our pull-out bed stronger, lighter, and more versatile than anything else out there. It's still one of the things we're proudest of.
But what really makes the whole system great is how modular it is.
You can combine a bed with one of our side units, kitchen units, or both – depending on what you need.
You can keep it light and simple, load up for a full-time vanlife adventure, or build something in between.

The tall rear kitchen unit is simple, smart, and makes great use of the full height of your van, with room for your fridge, water, and even a portable toilet if you want one. If you’ve got a long wheelbase and want to max out storage, the L2 version includes the A3, our side cabinet with an XL pop-up table.

Everything’s organised, accessible, and ready when you need it. Want to make it even more premium? Add one of our D8 kitchen drawers to the bed and turn the rear of your van into an outdoor food prep station.

Sometimes you just need a little more space to live – or to bring the toys.
The Seeker gives you the biggest bed we offer (130cm wide!) and leaves the rest of the van wide open for boards, bikes, surf gear, or whatever adventure you’ve got planned.
Or, maybe you just like to stretch out when you sleep. Either way, the Seeker’s got you covered.

If you want a full camper setup without blowing the budget, The Drifter is where it’s at.
It’s our best-selling Classic kit – and for good reason.
You get a sliding bed, kitchen space, storage, and a pop-up table all at a price that still leaves you with fuel money for the first trip. The other thing the Drifter has is options: there’s both short and long wheelbase options, as well as two ‘Slim King’ versions featuring a slimline side cabinet paired with our wider B130 bed.
